Bags AR — let shoppers see handbags and totes on themselves before they order

Bag size, strap drop and silhouette are hard to judge from a flat product shot. Wearfits AR puts a true-to-scale 3D bag on the shopper from the product page, so they can check scale and look before they add to cart. One 3D asset per model, colour and material covers the SKUs that share that silhouette.

Shoes and bags only. Apparel uses Gen-AI try-on, not AR. Bags AR shows how the bag looks worn; it does not replace capacity or dimension notes. A new colour or material is a separate 3D asset. Deeper pages: Handbag AR · Backpack AR.

How Bags AR works

From your bestselling bag models to try-on on every matching product page.

Pick the hero models

List the bags you sell most, with colour and material for each SKU line.

Build the 3D bags

We create a true-to-scale asset per model, colour and material, from product photos or samples. See Photo to 3D.

Attach to product pages

Link the asset to the product. On Shopify, install the app and connect products from the dashboard.

Add new colourways

When a new colourway drops, we add one asset for it; matching SKUs of that colour share it.

Where it helps a bags store

Typical moments for handbag and accessories retailers.

Scale doubts

Shoppers see mini vs tote scale on their own body, not only next to a ruler in a studio shot.

Strap and hardware

Strap drop, chain vs leather and hardware colour are easier to commit to after seeing them worn.

All bag styles in one place

AR try-on works across handbags, totes, crossbody bags and backpacks. More on specific styles: Handbag AR, Backpack AR, pilot notes: Bags AR pilot.

Returns and hesitation

When “too big / too small / not as pictured” drives returns, try-on can help with look-surprise. Pair with clear dimensions.

Newsletter and gift emails

Share a try-on link for new arrivals with your list. See Email AR and Gift guide AR.

In-store and online together

A QR code on the shelf opens the same try-on for colours you don't have in stock. See QR try-on.

FAQ

Straight answers for bag and accessories retailers evaluating AR try-on.

Is Bags AR a clothing try-on?

No. Wearfits AR is for shoes and bags only. Bags AR shows a 3D bag on the shopper so they can judge size, strap drop and look. It is not clothing try-on or apparel Gen-AI try-on.

How is Bags AR different from Handbag AR or Backpack AR?

Bags AR covers handbags, totes, crossbody and related styles in one setup. Handbag AR and Backpack AR go into more detail on those specific styles. All use the same Wearfits AR try-on.

Does AR tell a shopper whether a bag will fit their needs?

AR shows how the bag looks worn: silhouette, strap length and scale on the body. It does not measure capacity in litres or rate organisation. Keep dimensions and capacity notes on the product page.

How many 3D assets do I need for a bags range?

One 3D asset per model, colour and material. A new colourway or leather finish needs its own asset. If hardware changes the look shoppers care about, treat that variant as its own asset.

Can we run Bags AR on Shopify?

Yes. Install the Wearfits Try-On Shopify app, connect products from the dashboard and place try-on on the product page. See the Shopify get-started guide and the PDP try-on page.
